Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30.

Doug Parkey is the minister.

This week, we will have a "Youth Sunday," with young people leading in various parts of the worship service.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211.

The bus is wheelchair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building.

Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meet at 7.

Feb. 5 in "Souper Bowl Sunday." Plan to gather in the fellowship hall following morning worship for soup and sandwiches, with drinks also provided.

Please bring a dessert.

The next Family Fun Night will Sunday, Feb. 12.

Thanks to Susan Treash for the special music last Sunday, and to the youth of the church for the bookmarks they made and donated.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Weekly Zumba sessions continue next Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Everyone is invited to attend, and donations go to benefit the church.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m., with church service following at 10:30.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next food pantry day will be Wednesday, Feb. 29.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
