The course is a laid-back approach to learning basics to computers. The primary objective is to teach first-time computer users about the basics of computing, to present the basic operations of Microsoft Windows XP 2007, and to learn about e-mail and surfing the Internet.
No experience is using a previous version of Windows is required.
Cost for the program is $75.
In addition, a Word Introduction class will be offered as well.
The classes begin March 6 and conclude March 20. Class times are 6-8:40 p.m.
Those attending will learn to create, edit and print documents such as letters or reports using the newest version of the word processing program.
Participants will learn important terms, editing functions, formatting, special text options, and mail merge.
The course will also cover spell checking, underlining, bolding, centering text, copying and pasting text, and printing documents.
Cost is $139, which includes a textbook.
