Ben Harbison

Ben Harbison, son of Audrey and Blain Harbison, Brazil, joined the Army National Guard on Monday, Jan. 30.

Ben is a junior at Northview High School and will go to basic training between his junior and senior year. He will earn a part-time paycheck by doing drills, one weekend a month until he leaves for basic training at Fort Benning, Ga.

After basic training, he will continue to do drills until he graduates. Then, he will leave for his job training; Ben will be a 19D (Cavalry Scout). After graduation, he plans on going to Indiana State University and enrolling into the ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) program where he will get 100 percent of his college paid for and has the opportunity to become an officer in the Army National Guard.

If you would like to serve your state and community and take advantage of our 100 percent college tuition, contact Sgt. Troy Batchelor at 812-841-8032.
