According to officials with the Clay County Sheriff's Department, the roads were "very slick and hazardous Tuesday morning."
Officials said the following accidents occurred Tuesday morning:
* Two accidents involving personal injury, six accidents involving property damage and seven slide-offs with no damage.
"As the day has gone on, it's gotten better," Clay County Sheriff Mike Heaton said. "The more traffic on the road has been able to break it up, and the temperature has warmed up a little," and
* Brazil Police Chief Clint McQueen said despite the snow, motorists in the city have been driving with caution.
"(There have been) a couple very minor (one car) accidents," McQueen said. "Everyone seems to be driving very sensibly today and using caution, which led to only a couple very minor accidents -- a couple slide offs.
"Everything has gone very smooth today even with (the few) inches of snow."
