NHS students perform well at Solo and Ensemble

TERRE HAUTE -- Members of the Northview High School band took part in the Indiana State School Music Association District Solo and Ensemble contest Saturday at Terre Haute North High School.

Students receiving Silver medals included: Brittany Ray (Clarinet), Joey Dierdorf (Clarinet), Shea McCoy (Trumpet), Caitlyn Jenkins (Flute), Kireston Gibson (Clarinet) and the Clarinet trio of Leslie Ringo, Ray and Gibson.

Students receiving Gold medals included: Jami Warner (Trumpet), Zene Colson (Tenos Sax), Derek Pleake (Bass Clarinet), Josh Wise (Snare Drum), Dan Reberger (Snare Drum and Marimba), Natascha Bowles (Baritone), Brandon Rost (Alto Sax), Ringo (Clarinet), the Woodwind Quartet of Kaelyn Shouse, Thomas Champion, Kayla Tolbert and Pleake and the Woodwind Ensemble of Destiny Pfiel, Jenkins, Allison Miller, Kody Jones, Shouse, Tolbert, Champion, Ray, Ringo, Wyatt Baysinger, Laura Lookebill, Colson, Kyle Rice, Austen Bowen, Gibson, Pleake, Dierdorf and Dakota Barker.

Students qualifying for State Solo and Ensemble Contest include: Bowles (Baritone), Rost (Alto Sax), Ringo (Clarinet), Wise (Snare Drum) and Reberger (Snare Drum and Marimba.
