Those interested in showing beef or a dairy steer at the 2012 Clay County 4-H Fair should be aware of 4-H Beef Tagging Day.
The event will take place from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, March 17, at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds Beef Barn.
All steers (beef and dairy) and non-registered heifers are required to be weighed and tagged.
Those showing at the Indiana State Fair must have an RFID tag.
There is a fee of $1 per head to weigh and tag an animal.
Those with an animal RFID tagged, cost will be $5 per RFID tag.
The fees must be paid when the animals are tagged.
Those attending are asked to bring their signed beef enrollment form and premise identification number. For further information, call 448-9041.
