Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods will host Women's Day

Friday, February 17, 2012

The Sisters of Providence will host a Women's Day of Spirituality on Saturday, March 17, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

The program will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., in O'Shaughnessy Dining Room. Cost is $25 with lunch included. Registration deadline is March 5.

This day will focus on the life of Anne-Therese Guerin (Saint Mother Theodore Guerin) as she lived, ministered and died. Participants will explore how Celtic traditions may have influenced Saint Mother Theodore's life, growing up in Brittany, France.

Sisters Jan Craven, Mary Roger Madden and Marie Kevin Tighe will be the presenters. Sister Jan will speak about Celtic spirituality, Sister Mary Roger will explore French spirituality and Sister Marie Kevin will discuss spirituality in the United States. All of the presentations will move toward how each of the spiritualities influences were integrated in Mother Theodore's life.

For more information, or to make a reservation, contact Sister Jan Craven at 812-535-2925 or by e-mail at jcraven@spsmw.org.
