Benefit set for business owner

Monday, February 20, 2012

On Nov. 16, 2011, GooseNeck Brew owner Jeff Pursell (Perk) was hospitalized for a tear and aneurysm in his aortic valve.

He spent more than four weeks at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, three of which were spent in a coma, in the Cardiac ICU Unit.

Pursell is home now, but must go back to have surgery.

According to reports, his condition requires several monthly medications, doctor visits, sonograms and more.

A benefit/hog roast has been scheduled to help curtail Pursell's medical costs. All proceeds from the benefit will go directly toward medical expenses.

The event will take place Sunday, Feb. 26, at the GooseNeck Brew, 561 E. National Ave., Brazil.

It is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Cost to attend is $10. Those planning to attend must be 21-older.

There will be live entertainment, raffles and food.

For more information or to donate, call Regi Batchelor at 812-870-4596 or Savanah Pursell at 812-531-9687.
