Florence "Shug" Paris Cook, 78, Brazil, passed away on Feb. 22, 2012, at Exceptional Living Center, Brazil. She was born on Jan. 21, 1934, in Owen County, Ind., and was the daughter of the late Ross Myrl and Mary Caroline (Pullen) Paris.
She was a retired school bus driver for Clay Community Schools and was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church at Brazil.
She is survived by her children, Dora Phelps, Brazil and Roy Cook and wife Shelley, South Bend, sister Rose Hegeman, Rensselaer, brother Ralph M. Paris, Greencastle and grandchildren Sarah Phelps, Katlin Cook and Mitchell Cook.
Funeral Services will take place Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, from 3-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Mannan Cemetery.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Kathryn Paris and Mary Helen DeLaCruz, her brothers Clyde Lee Paris, Robert K. Paris, Norman Kester and Ross "Junior" Paris.
