Ruby P. Heck, 91, Winamac, Ind., previously of Brazil, died Feb. 22, 2012, at 3 p.m., at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.
She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Cale and Rachel Stevens Price.
She was first married to William (Bud) Pugh, who passed away in 1969. She was then married to Raymond Heck, who passed away in 2002.
Ruby was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Brazil and the Rebekkah Lodge. She was a fan of Country and Western music, and became fond of 40s and 50s music. Ruby enjoyed square dancing in her youth. She loved to crochet Afghans for her grandchildren.
During her years with us, Ruby was a department manager for Montgomery Ward, Stock Control Supervisor for Shure Electronics and office manager for Dewitt's Hatchery.
Ruby was a former resident of Brazil, Charlotte, Mich., Cadillac, Mich., Phoenix, Ariz., and Winamac, Ind., for the past three years.
She was preceded in death by her father Cale Price, mother Rachel Stevens Price, first husband William Arthur Pugh Sr., second husband Raymond Heck, daughter Wilmetta Arlene Pugh, sisters Tressie Price, Gracie Price, Opel Gess and Betty Little, and brothers Lewis Price, Arthur Price, Jim Price, and Floyd Price.
Ruby is survived by her son William A. (Marie) Pugh Jr., Winamac, grandchildren Kristina M. (Robert) Smith, Fort Wayne, Ind., Rebecca L. (Philip) Juday, Muncie, Ind., Kyle A. Pugh, Muncie, Corey A. (Joanne) Pugh, Indianapolis, Dana L. (Angie Keller) Pugh, Muncie, Andrea Sanders, Brazil, and Whitney Wiley, Terre Haute, great-grandchildren Lucas C. Smith, Bloomington, Ind., Wesley R. Smith, Findlay, Ohio, Hannelore M. Smith, Fort Wayne, Erin K. (Phillip) Parsons, Ringgold, Ga., Elysia J. Juday, Muncie, Emily G. Juday, Muncie, Elizabeth H. Juday, Muncie, Shane A. Funeral services will be at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at 4 p.m., with Rev. Matt Landry officiating. Visitation will be after 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Frain Mortuary.
Additional services will take place at French Funeral Home, Brazil, at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, with Ernie Rush officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Terre Haute.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home Monday, from 11 a.m., until time of service.
