As of about 3:15 p.m., Thursday, Brazil Water Superintendent Jake Raubach said the boil order on State Road 340 has been lifted.

"All the tests were satisfactory," Raubach said, "the boil order is lifted immediately.

On Monday, Raubach confirmed a section of the city was under a boil order.

"The boil advisory (was) just for people from County Road 200 to 300 on the south side of State Road 340, and then everybody from CR 300 West, a little past 425," Raubach said Monday, "so all those people on both sides of the road (were subject to the boil order)."

Raubach said protocol called for tests to be conducted Tuesday and Wednesday before the boil order could be lifted Thursday.

Raubach said the boil order stems from a line that was cut into by a resident doing personal work on Monday.

"(The person) had cut into a 4-inch water line that runs on the south side of 340," Raubach said.

"Somebody was doing some personal work out there, and we had to shut the line down (because) there are several people on that line out there, and we didn't feel comfortable not having a boil order."
