Annis Ilene Cooper Craig Shaughnessy, 73, Brazil, passed away Feb. 28, 2012, at 5:40 p.m., at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 15, 1938, in Clay County the daughter of Walter Mason Cooper and Frances Tilley Thompson Cooper. She attended Brazil High School. She worked for Old Glory Decorators for the Evans family making floats. She later worked for Pillsbury in the factory and was proud of being Vice President of their Union. Annis was baptized at the First Christian Church. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW and enjoyed visiting the casinos with family and friends. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and went to as many of their activities as possible.

Annis was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Richard W. Craig, her second husband James Shaughnessy, sisters LaVerne Cooper and Jane Bradshaw, brothers Sidney Cooper, Les Cooper, Ralph Cooper and Russell Cooper, and special sister in law, Nancy Cooper.

Survivors include her daughters Tami Craig Davis or Oreana, Ill., and Shannon Craig Orman, Brazil, grandchildren Dakota Craig Davis, Zoe Olivia Orman, River Cooper Davis and India Anise Orman, siblings Commodore Cooper (Dorothy), Dale Cooper (Sharon), Carolyn Nichols, Edna Fagan and Rose Pell all of Brazil, and special niece, Jeri McCullough-Gooding.

A Celebration of her life will be held Friday at 7 p.m., at Lawson-Miller Chapel. Friends may visit from 6-7 p.m. Prayer time will be shared by Pastor Kyle Andrews. At her request cremation was chosen and ashes will be buried at a later date. Post a heart of condolence at www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
