Clay City Regional tickets go on sale Wednesday

CLAY CITY -- After claiming a 35-19 victory over White River Valley in the finals of the Class A White River Valley Sectional Saturday, the Clay City boys' basketball team won its second sectional title in four years.

The Eels will now advance to the Martinsville Regional, where they will face either Hauser or Shawe Memorial Saturday, March 10, at noon, at the John R. Wooden Gymnasium.

Edinburgh will face University in the first game Saturday, at 10 a.m. Hauser and Shawe Memorial will play Monday.

Clay City High School currently has sectional championship shirts available at the school office. The deadline for shirt orders is noon, Monday, in order for them to be delivered to the school Wednesday. Those interested in purchasing a shirt should call the school Monday morning. Cost is $10. Cost for extra large shirts is $12.

Tickets for the regional will go on sale at the school Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., in the main office. All pre-sale tickets are "season tickets," which will get patrons into both morning and evening regional sessions.

Tickets will be on sale at the office Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

A fan bus signup will also take place at the school main office each day this week until 3 p.m. Fan buses are tentatively scheduled to leave the Clay City parking lot at 8:45 a.m., Saturday.

They will take fans to centrally located eating areas between games. Cost to ride a fan bus is $5.

A pep session has also been scheduled for Friday at 2:35 p.m., in the Clay City gymnasium.
