Northview Winter Guard reaches IHSCGA Finals

MOORESVILLE -- The Northview High School Winter Guard competed in the Indiana High School Color Guard Association (IHSCGA) State Prelim contest at Mooresville Saturday, advancing to the State Finals.

Taking part in World Class, the Knights finished with a score of 78.40, placing fourth overall.

Carmel won the World Class title with a score of 84.30, while Lawrence Central was second with an 80.20.

Warren Central placed third with a score of 79.30.

Coming in fifth was Avon with a 78.30, while Center Grove finished sixth with a 72.20.

All six squads advanced to the state finals, which will take place at Center Grove High School Saturday, March 17.

Northview is scheduled to compete at 6:38 p.m. Center Grove will kick off competition at 6:18 p.m., followed by Avon (6:28). Warren Central will compete at 6:48 p.m., followed by Lawrence Central (6:58 p.m.) and Carmel (7:08 p.m.)

Awards will be presented at 7:28 p.m.

This Saturday, the Knights will compete in the Winter Guard International (WGI) Cincinnati Regional, which will take place at Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University.

Competing in Scholastic World Class, Northview is scheduled to perform at 6:50 p.m.

Lawrence Central will kick off competition at 6:40 p.m.

Following Northview are Warren Central (7 p.m.), Trumbull High School (7:10 p.m.), Norwin High School (7:20 p.m.), Carmel (7:30 p.m.), Miamisburg High School (7:40 p.m.), and Center Grove (8 p.m.).
