The North Clay seventh-grade girls completed a strong second half of the season by splitting a pair of games against Greencastle on Thursday night.
In the opening contest, North Clay got 12 points from Abby Conrad in a 28-17 victory by the Knights. Conrad was 6-of-8 at the free throw line to help clinch the win. Stacy Payton nailed an important 3-pointer in the third quarter and posted 10 points. Payton also was big at the line, hitting 3-of-4.
North Clay also got two points from Lindsey Clark, Carleigh Shrader and Kenzie Stearley.
In game two, the Tiger Cubs came out on the winning end of an 18-7 decision.
Allison Herrick scored four points, Indya Trahan had two points and Mariah Hill posted one point.
"They have done a really great job and learned a lot about hard work and dedication," Knights' coach Erica Koehler said. "These girls are already making plans for the future and looking forward to playing for Coach Buell at Northview."
In the eighth-grade game, Greencastle came out on top with a 36-16 victory.
Brooklyn Fagg had five points to lead North Clay as Baylee Secrest added four, Hannah Reason posted three and both Chantael Poorman and Hannah Stagg each had two points.
In the second contest, North Clay lost an 11-8 decision as Fagg had five points and Secrest had three.
