Percussion units fare well in contests

NEW PALESTINE -- The Clay City High School Indoor Percussion Unit competed in the Indiana Percussion Association (IPA) contest at New Palestine Saturday, coming away with a 10th-place finish.

Clay City competed in the PSCA Division and scored a 73.50.

Logansport won the division with a score of 88.20.

The Northview Percussion Unit also took part in contest at Mt. Vernon Saturday.

Competing in the PSA Division, Northview finished second with a score of 85.60. Greenwood won the division with a score of 88.15.

Both Northview and Clay City will compete in the IPA State Prelims Saturday, March 17, at Avon High School.

Clay City will take part in the PSCA Division while Northview will compete in the PSA Division.

The state finals will take place Saturday, March 24.
