On Monday, associates with the store learned it had won the 2011 Divisional Store of the Year award.
Store Manager Brandon Wright told The Brazil Times the store is one of approximately 300 in its division, which includes Walmarts in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
"It is a big deal," Wright said. "It's a big award. It's really humbling. I'm really happy for the associates, and we have a great customer base."
Wright said the Brazil Walmart was the smallest outlet to win the award. There are eight divisions across the United States.
Wright said he found out about the award March 8, at the franchise's Fiscal Year Beginning Meeting, which took place in Orlando, Fla.
The Brazil Walmart also captured two Friendliest Store Regional titles in 2011.
Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham added he was pleased the local store was recognized.
