Elmora was born in Terre Haute, May 31, 1924, the daughter of Harry and Inez (Campbell) Hayes.
Shortly after graduating from high school, she married George Edwards Dec. 24, 1945.
Elmora had worked for Quaker Maid before getting married.
She also worked for Miller and Parrott, which later became Pillsbury from which she retired.
Elmora enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, listening to country music, collecting Pillsbury Dough Boy memorabilia, working crossword puzzles, cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Inez Hayes, sisters Garnett and Lavonne, brother George Hayes and a half brother Zach Hayes and husband George Edwards.
She is survived by her son Jack Edwards, daughter Harriet Guinther, and husband James, Staunton, grandson Michael Long and wife Sarah, Brazil, Darin Long and wife Christine of Nolensville, Tenn., JD Edwards, Brazil, Brad Edwards, Brazil, granddaughter Melissa Kline and husband Billy, Brazil, great-grandchildren Corbin, Nick, Evan, Allie, Nathan, Drew, Thomas, Devon, Shelby, Bradley, Carson, and Lauren and great-great-grandchildren Kaydence and Nolan.
Services will be Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 7 p.m., with Larry Richmond officiating.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m., until the time of service.
