The Habitat for Humanity of Clay County Board of Directors has scheduled a Jonah Fish Fry and silent auction Saturday, April 14, from 4-7 p.m., at the Brazil National Guard Armory.

Board members will be selling tickets in advance for a savings of 50 cents per ticket.

At the door, cost to attend will be $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-10. Children under 5 will be admitted free.

Desserts will also be available at a cost of $1.

Local business owners have also made donations for the silent auction, which will include a wide variety of items.

Through community support, Habitat for Humanity of Clay County recently dedicated its seventh home. The housing ministry's goal is to change lives one family at a time through building homes and building hope.

Volunteers build modest, affordable homes.

The recipient family pays a no-interest mortgage for 20 years, while also helping with the building of the home.

Currently, Habitat for Humanity of Clay County is raising funds for its eighth home.
