Northview High School graduate Brittany Stigler, currently a student at Indiana University, will take part in IU's Breaking Boundaries: Meaning Beyond the Text.
The event will take pace Wednesday, March 21, at the Indiana University Memorial Union, Maple Room, from 4:45-6 p.m.
Stigler will speak on "Creating Spatial Dialogues: A Close Look into the Artistic Collaboration of W.D. Snodgrass and DeLoss McGraw."
Other speakers include:
* John R. Brown, Indiana University: "Thick Threshold: The Liminality of the Induction of 'The Taming of the Shrew,'"
* Nathan Claire, Indiana University: "Home," and
* Derek Frasure, Marshall University: "Occupying Asylums: Madness as a Resistance to Bio-Power."
The event is under the umbrella of Occupied: Taking up Space and Time," which takes place in conjunction with IU's annual International Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference.
The event is hosted by the Department of English's graduate students.
It takes place during three days and features work of graduate students across the United States and world from many disciplines conversing on a common theme.
According to officials, the conference "provides a venue for diverse communication to take place in a friendly, but academically rigorous environment."
All conference events are free and open to the public
