Cemetery Notice

Officials with the City of Brazil are asking all to remove all winter decorations from Cottage Hill, Restlawn and other cemeteries by Friday, April 6.

Candidates To Speak

Eighth District Congressional candidate Kristi Risk and District 42 State Representative candidate Jim Meece will both speak at the Clay County Republican Club Meeting Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m.

The meeting will take place at the Clay County Senior Citizen's Center, 120 S. Franklin St., Brazil.

Corporation To Meet

The Clay County Building Corporation has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, March 20, at 8 a.m., in the Commissioner's Courtroom of the Clay County Courthouse.

Food Giveaway

The Church of Our Lord Jesus will conduct a food giveaway Saturday, March 24, from 1-3 p.m., at its church, 708 E. Hendrix St., Brazil.

Luncheon

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce will meet for its monthly luncheon Tuesday, March 27, at the Renaissance Reception and Conference Center.

The luncheon is scheduled to begin at noon.

State Sen. Tim Skinner will be the guest speaker.

Cost is $10 per person.

Special Program

The Brazil Public Library will host Yankee Rose, Tuesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m.

The landscaping and nursery specialists will present, "Getting Your Garden Ready."

Dinner Time!

The Lady Volunteers of Staunton will serve dinner at the Staunton Community Center March 30, from 4-7 p.m. The menu will include baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, homemade yeast rolls, slaw, drinks and dessert. Cost is $9.

Diabetes Class

St. Vincent Clay Hospital has announced the next class on Diabetes Education will begin in April.

"What You Should Know About Type 2 Diabetes," will begin Tuesday, April 3, from 2-4 p.m. The class will take place on the first Tuesday of each month. Class size is limited.

Those interested in attending should RSVP to 442-2740. Classes are free of charge.
