The Board of Public Work and Safety met Monday for a special meeting to discuss the sale of several city-owned properties.
According to City Attorney Traci Lawson, the properties are Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) properties and a public hearing had to take place before the recommendation can be made to sell them.
The properties are at 1108 N. McGuire, 910 W North St., 422 W. Chestnut, 1015 W. National Ave., and 404 W. Hendrix St.
The board mentioned it would look into enlisting brokers to sell three of the properties.
The Board of Public Work and Safety meets regularly the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, at 10 a.m., in Brazil City Hall.
