Teacher Terry Akers told The Brazil Times the students celebrated diversity all month as students took part in several activities, including a coloring contest.
The school-wide coloring contest saw three students in each class awarded.
Students had the option to color their own original drawing as well as color already drawn photos.
The grand prize winner from the contest -- Shakayla Bell -- received a $25 gift certificate from Walmart.
The second-place student, Devon Bruer, received a $15 gift certificate, while the third-place students, Kennady Harden and Sydney Browning, both received $10 gift certificates.
Walmart and Fifth Third Bank sponsored the money prizes.
Food sponsors for the month included Dairy Queen, Subway and Pizza Hut.
Other students awarded included Gage Trinajstick, Harman Singh, Mia Thompson, Breezy McCullough, Kameron Fullerton, Trinity Otto, Drew Crawford, Kadence Kingore, Jillian Freeman, Brianna Keller, Kaitlyn Manning, Makenna Cook, Mason Reynolds, Domanick Brooks, Izak Grigsby, Krista Bruner, Dylan Head, Mackenzie Crawford, Landon Fulk, Mason Staley, Devine Haines, Chase Aten, Madison Harris, Jazman Hinkle, Bryce Starkey, Tristen Evans, Bralynn Robbins, Elizabeth Ross, Zach O'Dell and Whitney Certain.
