The Brazil Times is accepting donations for those affected by the severe weather in southern Indiana.
All money collected will go to the Red Cross's relief efforts.
The Times will accept donations in the form of checks made out to the Red Cross, or cash.
Those who donate more than $5 will receive, or be credited on their account, a free copy of The Times for that day.
Donations will be collected until March 30, and are being sent as they are received.
Officials with the City of Brazil are asking all to remove all winter decorations from Cottage Hill, Restlawn and other cemeteries by Friday, April 6.

The Friends of the Brazil Public Library will conduct a book sale March 29-31, across the street from the library.

The Clay County Commissioners will conduct a special meeting Monday, March 26, in the Commissioner's Courtroom of the Clay County Courthouse.
The meeting will begin at 10:15 a.m.
The Commissioners will consider a STOP grant application.
The Brazil Public Library will host Yankee Rose, Tuesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m.
The landscaping and nursery specialists will present, "Getting Your Garden Ready."

A public test of the automatic tabulating equipment, which will be used in upcoming Indiana Primary Election May 8, will be conducted in the Clay County Election Office, 609 East National Ave., Room 211, at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, March 28. The test is open to the public.
The Brazil Public Library will host a Make and Take Easter craft for youth ages 7-under at the library Thursday, March 29, between 6-7 p.m.
The craft event is free and open to the public.

Indiana Farm Bureau will conduct its District 7 Spring Meeting March 29, at Chapman's Restaurant, 4506 E. Third St., Bloomington.
A dinner has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Clay County Farm Bureau is part of District 7, along with Daviess, Greene, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Owen, Sullivan and Vigo counties.
The Lady Volunteers of Staunton will serve dinner at the Staunton Community Center March 30, from 4-7 p.m.
The menu will include baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, homemade yeast rolls, slaw, drinks and dessert.
Cost is $9.
The 51st John L. Lewis Day Celebration Dinner will take place Sunday, April 1, at 11 a.m., at the American Legion, 211 E. Washington St., Oakland City, Ind.
All retired miners and their spouses, as well as widows and widowers of retired miners are welcome to attend.

The Fraternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary will host a fundraising luncheon at the Clay County Courthouse Monday, April 2, at 11 a.m.
All funds raised will benefit the new K9 officer for the Brazil Police Department.
The auxiliary will offer soup, sandwiches, drinks and desserts.
Cost for a soup, sandwich and drink will be $5, while cost for soup or sandwich will be $3. In addition, desserts and drinks by themselves will cost $1.

St. Vincent Clay Hospital has announced the next class on Diabetes Education will begin in April.
"What You Should Know About Type 2 Diabetes," will begin Tuesday, April 3, from 2-4 p.m.
The class will take place on the first Tuesday of each month. Class size is limited.

The Clay County Board of Health will conduct its quarterly meeting Monday, April 9, at noon.
The meeting will take place in the conference room located in the lower level of the Medical Office Building, 1214 E. National Ave., Brazil.
'Holes for Hope'
Bridges of Indiana and the Hearing Care Center have teamed together to conduct the first "Holes for Hope," golf outing to benefit Autism April 13, 2012, at the Terre Haute Country Club.
Registration will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m., with lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. A shotgun start is planned for 12:30 p.m.

Crafty Bear Fare
Delta Theta Tau will conduct a Crafty Bear Fare Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Mooresville High School, 550 N. Indiana St., Mooresville.

The Habitat for Humanity of Clay County Board of Directors will conduct a Jonah Fish Fry and silent auction April 14, from 4-7 p.m., at the Brazil National Guard Armory, 970 W. Craig Ave., Brazil.
Board members will be selling tickets in advance for a savings of 50 cents per ticket.
At the door, cost to attend will be $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-10. Children under 5 will be admitted free.
Desserts will also be available at a cost of $1.
