Master Naturalist classes ongoing

The Indiana Master Naturalist Program, through the Sycamore Trails Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc., will continue until April 30.

The event takes place every Monday, from 6-9 p.m.

Cost is $75 per person, which includes class materials and other expenses.

The course brings together natural resource specialists with adult learners to foster an understanding of Indiana's natural environment. Participants will have eight hands-on learning sessions.

Topics include native and invasive plants, forestry, soil and water resources, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, agriculture, entomology and geology.

After completing the 24 hours of class time, participants are expected to do 24 hours of volunteer activities after class to complete their certification.

Class sizes are limited. Those interested in participated are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
