Stephen Ray Paul, 62, Brazil, passed away at his residence, March 12, 2012.
Stephen "Torch" or "Plywood," as he was known, was born Oct. 9, 1949, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Clarence "Spud" Paul and Dorothy (Dame) Paul. Stephen spent his working years as a journeyman for the roofing union and then as a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, deer hunting and riding horses. Stephen was married to Charlotte Paul. He enjoyed spending time with her and caring for her. She passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister Laura Paul. He is survived by his sons Stephen Ray Paul Jr. (Jerri), Louisville, Ky., and Josh Paul (Mary) and daughter Angela Robison of Evansville, Ind. His grandchildren Austin Paul, Kaitlyn Paul, Jacob Robison, Jonathan Tyler Paul, Alexandra Nicole Paul, Stephen Reid Paul and Jack Paul, brothers and sisters David Paul, Bobby Paul, Tony Paul, Joyce Paul, Sarah Burton, Thomas Paul, Tim Paul and Jimmy Joe Paul, as well as many extended family members and a host of friends.
Services will be at McKinley Hill Church of Christ Saturday at 4 p.m., with visitation from 2 p.m., until time of service. French Funeral Home was entrusted with his care.
