Political Forum set for April 16

Sunday, April 1, 2012

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Clay County Farm Bureau will host a political forum Monday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m., at the YMCA of Clay County.

All local and state candidates have been invited to the event.

"The purpose of the forum is to let the community ask questions of the candidates based on what they feel is most important to them, or to meet the candidates if they don't know them," Chamber of Commerce President Lynne Llewellyn said.

The public is invited to submit questions to be answered at the forum to info@claycountychamber.org.

"The citizens usually have a lot of questions, and we have a lot of candidates this year," President of Clay County Farm Bureau Marshall Nuckolls said. "We need some positive knowledge of the candidates plans. We have to see if we can make some changes. I hope we get a good crowd."

Refreshments will be provided. The public is invited to attend.

I am really looking forward to this!

Thank you Farm Bureau and Chamber of Commerce for setting this up.
