Lunsford to speak at library

Wabash Valley author and columnist Mike Lunsford will speak and sign copies of his books at the Brazil Public Library, 204 N. Walnut St., Brazil, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, as the library recognizes National Library Week.

Lunsford, a teacher and writer from rural Parke County, regularly writes his award-winning column, "The Off Season," for the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. His most recent book, "A Place Near Home," (Shade Tree Press), is a collection of 59 of his best stories.

Lunsford's first two books, "The Off Season: The Newspaper Stories of Mike Lunsford," (2008), and "Sidelines: The Best of the Basketball Stories," (2009), will also be available for sale.
