Marvin Lee Crafton, 76, Greencastle, formerly of Brazil, passed away on April 5, 2012, following a long illness.

Marvin was born on July 23, 1935, in Clay County, the son of Glenn and Ferne (Stoelting) Crafton. He was reared by Ernest Mills. Marvin was part of the Cory High School graduating class of 1953.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father Glenn Crafton, mother Ferne Crafton, and step-father Ernest Mills.

He is survived by his wife Joan (Davis) Crafton, Brazil, sons Chris Crafton (Sue), Greencastle, Curtis Crafton (Michelle), Athens, Tenn., Carey Crafton, Fort Worth, Texas, and step-son Robbie Alford, Finland, as well as eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one half-brother Leland Mills, Brazil.

A memorial graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., on April 14, 2012, at Cottage Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bryan Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st St. Suite 100, Indianapolis, Ind., 46209.
