Easter Egg Hunt a success
To the Editor:
I would like to take a moment to thank the community for the great turnout at the Easter Egg Hunt.
I appreciate all of the efforts and work from the many volunteers and the American Legion Riders in making the egg hunt possible.
In absence of a local post, thanks goes to the Rosedale American Legion for facilities to color the 105 dozen eggs.
Even though the local American Legion Post has been closed, the members continue to meet at the V.F.W., and continue to be active in the community.
Elections will be coming up for new officers. If you are a member of the Legion, or would like to be, please contact the nominating committee (Ed Young at 448-8543, Walt Termeer at 448-2375 or Wayne Parkins at 442-0705).
There will be a special meeting April 26, at 7 p.m., at the V.F.W., for closing nominations.
On May 10, from noon-6 p.m., members can vote at the V.F.W. by presenting a current Legion membership card.
Again, I would like to thank the members who continue to support the goals of the American Legion and our veterans as we work to once again have a Legion post in Brazil.
Randy Kaelber, Commander,
American Legion Post 2,
