She was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Liberty, Ind., the daughter of the late Marvin Phillip and the late Bertha Mae (Stout) Bayer.
On July 26, 1952, she married James Edward Parr in Brazil.
They moved from Brazil in 1956 when James accepted a position with McDonnel Douglas (now Boeing). She was employed by Powhatan Restaurant in Pocahontas, Ill.
Upon retirement in 1994, she and James returned to Brazil. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Bayer and son S. Michael "Mike" Parr.
She is survived by her husband James Edward Parr, Carbon, daughter Judy (Kevin) Vosholler, St. Rose, Ill., sons Jay (Linda) Parr, Brazil, and Chuck (Carla) Parr, Pocahontas, Ill., 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her care was entrusted to Moore Funeral Home.
She chose to be cremated.
A memorial visitation with the family will take place Sunday, April 22, from 4-7 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home.
