Dora Inez Arnett, 82, Center Point, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Union Hospital due to an extended illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Collinwood, Tenn., to Oscar and Lillie May Castul Brewer.

She worked at the Bluebird Pie Factory, Cincinnati, Ohio, where she met her future husband Evert Lee Arnett. They were married on Nov. 26, 1949.

After moving to Indiana, she worked as a cook at the Elks Club and then at Ike's Restaurant until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brazil and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Her family believes they were lucky to have such a wonderful, hardworking, independent, and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four children James Wiley Arnett, Lena Faye Arnett, Mary Eilien Arnett and an unnamed baby, two brothers Bruner and Eunice Brewer, sister and brother-in-law Lorene and William Smith, and two great-grandsons Brody Starkey and Peyton Budd and great-grandchild Baby Budd.

She is survived by her husband, sister Grace Reeves, Rockville, three daughters Wanda Arnett Winn, Florida, Debra (Michael) Head, Brazil and Norma Sue Arnett Stultz, Brazil, six grandchildren Brandy Arnett, Lena Ricks, April (Mark) Molter, Mary (Ed) Stone, Loni Head (fiancÚ Steve), Christina (Charles) Barnett, five great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, April 23, at Moore Funeral Home followed by the 1 p.m. funeral services with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
