ROCKVILLE -- The Covered Bridge Art Association will welcome all between 6-8 p.m., at the Gallery on the north side of the Rockville Square April 26, for the beginning of the 38th Spring Art Show in Rockville.
Attendees of the open house will enjoy both the new works of judged art and refreshments.
The event is free. Each artist has entered what they perceive to be their best work of art.
Door prizes have been donated by artists Judy Ohmit, Linda Stalker and Connie Wasson.
There is no charge and winners will be drawn at the first meeting in June.
Those interested in attending may sign up each time they visit the gallery during the show, which ends May 31.
Also, during the first weekend, each person may sign up for their personal favorite. A "Most Popular," will be awarded from the votes.
The show will be judged by Shirley Biddle Freeman, Oxford, Ind. Although mostly self-taught, she has studied with some of the finest painters in the United States and Mexico.
She has been accepted in state, regional and national juried shows, including shows in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas.
This year's show will be dedicated in memory of Millie Warnick.
The show will run through May 31. All entries will remain hanging until the end of the show for all to see.
Entries which are sold may be picked up at the close of the show or they will be delivered by the artist.
