Clay Community School officials moved the date for the anti-bullying summit, planned for May 3, 2012. Officials say they want to postpone the summit for after the start of school this fall. Further details will be released in late July or early August.
The Lady Volunteers of Staunton will conduct a community dinner Friday, April 27, from 4-7 p.m., at the Staunton Community Center.
The menu will consist of beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, dinner rolls, coffee, tea, lemonade and dessert. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 10-under.
The Clay County Humane Society will conduct a Jonah Fish Fry at the Kennedy Crossing Bingo Hall, Saturday, April 28, from 4-7 p.m.
The Family Worship Center, located at 8157 N. County Road 425 W., Brazil, (by the Staunton flashers) will host a Jonah Fish Fry Saturday, April 28, from 4-7:30 p.m., featuring Granddad's special Cajun recipe, homemade hushpuppies, baked beans, cole slaw and canned soft drinks. The price is $10 for a meal and drink and $8 for a sandwich and drink. According to church officials, they received "rave reviews" during the Mansfield Covered Bridge Festival for the recipe.
Antique Tractor Show
Pappy's Barbecue will host an antique lawn and garden tractor show Sunday, April 29, from noon-4 p.m., in front of the establishment, located at 111 E. National Ave., Brazil. Free ham and beans and hot dogs will be available.

National Day Of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 3, at noon, with prayer time beginning at 12:15 p.m., at the Clay County Courthouse.
The House of Hope, 5525 W. United States 40, will conduct a giant yard sale May 4-6.
All proceeds will go toward supporting the ministry and ongoing renovations.
The Community Theatre of Clay County will present, "The Dixie Swim Club," Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5.
A buffet dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the performance starting at 7:15 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by calling 442-6909, or at the main branch of Riddell National Bank.
