TERRE HAUTE -- To help raise money for the American Cancer Society, area high school boys' basketball players will challenge their coaches to a game Thursday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m.
The game will be played at Terre Haute South High School.
Players from Terre Haute North, Terre Haute South, West Vigo, Northview, Rockville and Sullivan will be in action at the fundraiser.
Admission is $4 per person. Children 5-under will be admitted free.
Admission fees and concessions revenue will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
The fundraiser is the inspiration of Jeffrey Turner from Terre Haute South High School in memory of Carol Crawford, a retired high school English teacher, Maple Center for Integrative Health member of the Board of Directors, and fan of high school basketball games. Her struggle with cancer ended recently, but she attended games up to a few weeks before dying.
