SULLIVAN COUNTY -- On Saturday, officials with the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post arrested a former employee of the WTWO NBC 2 news station for the alleged early morning shooting of the news/administration building and two vehicles in the parking area.

Kenneth Trey Bolinger, 24, Farmersburg, Ind., was preliminarily charged with one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon (a class C felony), and three counts of criminal mischief (all class D felonies).

He is currently in the Sullivan County Jail on $39,000 bond.

He was taken into custody without incident.

During the course of the investigation, officers developed information which led them to investigate Bolinger as a possible suspect.

As the investigation progressed throughout the day, detectives were able to secure a Sullivan County warrant for Bolinger, along with the Sullivan County search and warrant for the home he shares with his parents at 704 W. Main St., Farmersburg.

During the arrest and subsequent search of the premises, evidence was recovered, which detectives believe is related to the shooting incident.

The evidence was seized and taken to the Putnamville Post.

Bolinger was believed to have recently been terminated from the news agency.
