The YMCA of Clay County recently announced plans to participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
Free meals will be made available to all children 18-under and to persons 18-over who are enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled.
Free meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children. There will not be discrimination in the course of the meal service.
In accordance with Federal Law and the United States Department of Agriculture policy, the YMCA of Clay County is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
Free meals will be provided at the Y beginning May 23, and ending Aug. 8.
Free meals will also be provided at Forest Park Elementary School, 800 S. Alabama St., Brazil, from May 8-Aug. 23 (during Summer Day Camp), as well as Benwood Camp, 525 E. CR 1200 N., Brazil, From June 4-June 9.
They will also be provided at West Central Village, located at Central Avenue, Brazil, from May 29-Aug. 7.
Staffers from Serving On The Streets (S.O.S.) will also take part in the food programs at Benwood Camp and West Central Village.
