Knights' tennis wins on senior night

The Northview tennis team earned a 4-1 victory to put the icing on senior night for Trisha Cox, Jenna Smith and Kelsey Oehler, who were honored along with manager Brodie Girton before the match against visiting South Putnam.

Oehler was a winner in singles play as she defeated Kelly Hayden by a 6-2, 7-5 score in the No. 3 slot. Smith and Cox teamed to win at No. 1 doubles by a 6-3, 6-3 score against the Eagles' duo of Caitlyn Boyce and Madison Cash. Northview's Kaysia Reberger and Shelby Timberman were also winners in doubles play.

The Knights' Nicole Linton also picked up a victory in singles play as she won a 6-1, 6-0 match at No. 2 against Jade Asher.

The Knights' junior varsity also won on Monday with a 6-1 decision against the Eagles.

Northview hits the road this evening for a 5 p.m. match-up with Danville.
