Tri County Community Club

The Tri County Community Club met at the Oak Grove Baptist Church April 18, with Bonnie Hardwick and Sandy Maines furnishing the meat for the pitch-in luncheon.

It was a great meal.

Wilma Holsapple gave the blessing.

Our afternoon business meeting was opened by our president, Rhonda Tincher, with all repeating the club creed and the pledge to the American Flag.

The surprise package was won by Sandy Maines. The hostess gifts were won by Rhonda and Diana Nees.

Devotions were read by Roberta Nees, stating children learn what they live, and Rhonda Tincher on Barbara Bush reflections.

Roll call by Linda Rushton was answered by 13 members telling, "What we all did for Easter," "I had an adult Easter Egg Hunt," "I'm telling you they acted like they were little rebels." They also helped the babies hunt, ha ha.

The secretaries' report by Linda was read and approved.

The treasurer's report by Evelyn Rubeck was also read and approved.

The card report by Wilma, sending four cards for the month.

The hospital report by Linda was read and approved.

On May 7, at the Clay County Courthouse, we will have breakfast and lunch, sloppy joes, biscuits and gravy, ham and beans, cornbread, tacos and drinks, plus a great homemade bake sale. All are welcome, come early.

Roberta Nees got her birthday gift. We wish her a happy birthday.

If anyone has a donation for our club, please call 795-4462 or 986-6351.

We closed our meeting with all repeating the Lord's Prayer.

Now time for Bingo. Hurray.

Diana Nees won cover all. Good for you Diana.

Bless you all and have a blessed month of health and happiness.
