Kent Douglass Johnson, born Dec. 12, 1942, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012.
Kent was born to the late Jesse W. and Nadine Carter Johnson, Dec. 12, 1942, in Indianapolis.
Kent attended Broad Ripple High School and Indiana University.
He lived in Utah, California, and Brazil, Ind., where he met his wife and companion of 36 years, Diana Johnson (Dee Dee Deakins).
Kent was currently working for Ikelite Underwater systems.
Kent leaves behind his wife Diana, sister Nancy Means, children Marianne (Rob) Hodson, Omaha, Neb., and Kary (Barb) Simcox, Denver, Colo., grandchildren Blake, Alex and Derrick Hodson, Aaron, Kyle, Steven and Aubrey Simcox, father and mother-in-law David and Mary Deakins, brother and sister-in-laws Michael B. Means, David and Patricia Deakins, Sharon and Bob Plemen, and Janis and David Fabbri, and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Kent will be truly missed.
Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Flanner and Buchanan -- Broad Ripple, with calling starting at 6 p.m.
