Jack Lee Blann, 76, Oaktown, passed away at 5 a.m., Sunday, May 13, 2012, at his residence.
He was born June 13, 1935, in Vincennes, to Rollie Blann and Fidelis (Owens) Blann.
He married Opal Hollingsworth July 30, 1955, and she preceded him in death Aug. 8, 2008.
Jack was a petroleum sales representative for Growers Co-Op in Sullivan.
He formerly served on the Oaktown Town Board and the Old Oaken Days Committee.
He was a member of the Shaker Prairie Christian Church and had served in the Army.
He is survived by daughters Janice and husband Greg Karn, Brazil, Linda and husband Sean Wheeler, Marshall, Ill., Beth Merry, Oaktown, and Vicki and husband Ray Simmons, Evansville, son Phil and wife Peggy Blann, Oaktown, grandchildren Nicholas Karn, Eric and wife Elizabeth Blann, Brian Blann, Jonathan Blann, Jared Wheeler, Nicole Wheeler, Hillary Merry and Hannah Merry, great-grandson Reid Michael Blann, sisters Betty Blann, Vincennes, Mary Kistner, Sullivan, Sue Cox, Houston, Texas, and Kay Gilham, Sullivan, and brothers Bill Blann, Brownstown, Ind., and Harold Blann, Niles, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, three sisters, five brothers and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Oaktown Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012, also at the Oaktown Christian Church.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Oaktown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oaktown Fire Department.
