Jackson Township Elementary students were on a game show Thursday.

For the second consecutive year, the school conducted "Let's Make A Deal." Students and faculty had the opportunity to dress up for the day as well.

The game show portion of the afternoon lasted approximately one-and-a-half hours. During the event, Principal Jeff Fritz handed out various prizes to students. The school's Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) purchased all prizes.

During the "Pick A Pocket" game, Fritz asked three students to come to the gymnasium floor. All three students were dressed in purple.

Fritz whispered in one of the student's ears why he wanted to see students in purple for the specific game and the student repeated what he said.

"Because the Minnesota Vikings are the best football team in the world," the student said, to a ruckus of boos.

Still, each student had the chance to pick one of Fritz' pockets for a prize.

One drew a gift certificate for the Mayberry Malt Shoppe while another drew a cash money prize.

Fritz told The Brazil Times the school's PTO was instrumental in coming up with the event.

"The kids really enjoy it," he said.

During the Jackson Township Elementary Spring Carnival, classes also sold raffle tickets. The top three classes that sold the most raffle tickets were announced Thursday and each won prizes.

Fritz said the three classes were going to have a pizza party, Subway party or a McDonald's breakfast party.
