The following is a list of calls the Brazil City Fire Department have responded to from May 1-May 11:

* Tuesday, May 1 -- At 1:02 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to 2664 E. United States 40 at Great Dane Trailers for a trailer on fire and portion of the building burning. Firefighters extinguished the building and trailer and checked for extension onto the interior and exterior of the building at Department 68 Special Paints. Fire started while the trailer was having rework completed just outside door 36 of the plant. Firefighters responded with one engine, the aerial ladder truck and Chief's car,

* Tuesday, May 1 -- At 5:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle accident on Murphy Road just north of Hendrix St. Firefighters assisted the ambulance service with patient care and Law Enforcement with traffic control,

* Wednesday, May 2 -- At 9:44 p.m., firefighters responded to 515 W. Poplar St., for a cooking fire on stovetop. Firefighters made sure the fire was extinguished and had not extended. Firefighters used positive pressure ventilation to eliminate smoke inside the house,

* Thursday, May 3 -- At 8:01 p.m., firefighter crews responded to 919 N. Walnut St., to investigate a possible electrical fire. A water heater was found to be the cause. Occupants were advised of the cause and power was shut off to the water heater,

* Friday, May 4 -- At 5 p.m., firefighters were dispatched for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Harrison and Illinois streets. Occupants were out of the vehicle on arrival. Firefighters remained for traffic control,

* Monday, May 7 -- At 2:10 p.m., firefighters were dispatched for burning trash at 815 S. Grant St. Fire was put out and the owner was advised he needed to find an alternate way of cleaning up the property,

* Monday, May 8 -- At 10:53 a.m., firefighters were sent to 815 S. Grant St., for burning debris. The fire was unattended. Firefighters put out the remaining debris,

* Monday, May 8 -- At 1:47 p.m., firefighters were called for burning debris at 815 S Grant St. The area was flooded and the owner was advised of ordinance violation, and that the ground at the location would be soft for some time,

* Thursday, May 10 -- At 4:21 p.m., firefighters responded to 618 S. Vine St., for a CO Detector alerting occupants. CO gas detector was used on gas appliances and in the home in general. There was no problem found; it was a false alarm,

* Friday, May 11 -- At 8:20 p.m., firefighters responded to the intersection of Lambert and Kruzan streets for a vehicle accident involving an automobile and a moped. Two injuries were reported. Ambulance Service treated patients, and

* Friday, May 11 -- At 9:47 p.m., firefighters responded to the report of an unknown type fire at 717 S. Grant St. The occupants were having a cooking fire. No problem found.
