Carmela Marie Marbella Roeschlein

An Open House for Carmela Marie Marbella Roeschelin will take place Saturday, June 2, at her home, 1177 W. CR 200 N., Brazil.

All descendants of the Roeschlein, Thomas, Marbella and Salaveria's families are invited.

Friends of Carmela and family, Clay Prairie neighbors and lovers of the Clay City Eels' basketball team are also invited.

No invitations are being sent.

The celebration will be from 2-6 p.m.

Marian University celebrated its 75th commencement Saturday, May 5, 2012.

The university had a record 622 candidates for degrees this year, including 120 students who received the Master of Arts in teaching and 147 adult students who earned accelerated business administration degrees from Marian's Adult Programs. More than 120 candidates, or 19 percent of the class of 2012, graduated with academic honors.

Marian University's 2012 honor graduates included Kirk Daniel Meyers, Brazil, who graduated cum laude with a BSN in Nursing.

Marian University, founded in 1937, is the only Catholic liberal arts university in central Indiana. It serves a student body of more than 2,500 from 20 states and 12 countries.
