Earlier this year, the Brazil City Council elected to rename a portion of DeLoss Street in honor of Ken McClellan.
The part of the street, which runs east off State Road 59 to the softball diamond at Forest Park, was officially renamed Ken McClellan Drive.
The portion of the road runs to King Street, the one-way street next to the park.
Saturday morning, Brazil Mayor Brian Wyndham met with the family for the official dedication.
The city also had a street sign made specifically for the family.
"(McClellan) had a lot to do with the softball diamond," Wyndham said. "He also helped with the YMCA. He devoted a lot of time to kids.
"He left a lasting impression on me. I think he did with a lot of other children. He gave time to others. This is something that should be done."
