Officials announce street closings

Visitation for Spc. Arronn Fields, 27, Knightsville, will be 2-8 p.m., Monday, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Brazil Nazarene Church.
In preparation for the funeral of Indiana National Guard Spc. Arronn Fields, 27, Knightsville, some city streets will become one-way roads.

In a joint statement released by the Clay County Sheriff's Department and Brazil Police Department, it was announced that beginning at noon, Monday, June 4, Washington Street, north of National Avenue (United States 40), would become a one-way street heading north to Moore Funeral Home.

Visitation for Spc. Fields has been scheduled for Monday, June 4, from 2-8 p.m.

According to the statement, all traffic coming to the visitation is asked to enter Washington Street off National Avenue to the funeral home.

Vehicles leaving from the visitation will be asked to exit north on Washington Street and east on Kruzan Street to State Road 59. McDonald, Morton and Church streets will be closed to traffic other than local traffic, during the visitation hours.

In addition, during the day of the funeral, it was announced State Road 340 would be closed to all but local traffic between Kennedy's Crossing and County Road 425 W., following funeral services for Spc. Fields, which are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., at the Brazil Nazarene Church.

Graveside services will also take place at Clearview Cemetery.

According to officials, it was anticipated the road would be closed until approximately 3 p.m., or later, depending on the length of services.
