She was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Harmony, as the daughter of Archie and Norma Elliott Hillman.
She graduated from Brazil High School. She married Joseph F. Barnett.
She had been employed as the head cook at Jackson Twp. Elementary School.
She had also worked a few years at Sony in Terre Haute and as Executive Housekeeper at the Days Inn Hotel.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had attended the United Methodist Church of Center Point for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Barnett in 1983, and daughter Kay Crabb.
She is survived by two sons David F. Barnett (Carol), Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joseph "Mike" Barnett (Deborah), Rockville, daughter Jane Crowley (Gene), Center Point, grandchildren Stacie Jeffries (Brent), Stephanie Barnett, Anne Marie Barnett, Lisa May Barnett, Brandon Crowley, Brooklyn Crowley, Sarah Crabb, Austin Wheeler, and Justin J. Barnett, great grandchildren Dylan N. Barnett and Max Michael Jeffries, sister Barbara Davis, Amo, and other extended family.
Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services.
