Tim was born in Seymour, Ind., Dec. 3, 1962, the son of Everett and Sherry (Cornett) Sullivan. Tim graduated from VanBuren High School with the Class of 1981 and received an associate's degree in criminal justice from Vincennes University two years later.
Tim worked at Great Dane Trailers for several years before gaining employment at Putnamville Correctional Facility. He worked at the Correctional Facility for 13 years before taking leave due to his illness.
Tim enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, watching NASCAR and was a true Jeff Gordon fan. He was also a sports fanatic, who enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts (Peyton Manning). Tim loved to spend time coaching his son Hunter's baseball teams, following his daughter Clarissa's cheer competitions and spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Tim attended church at River Community Church. Through his love for God and the inspiration he received watching his mother's own battle with cancer, he gained the will to continue his fight with cancer.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Everett Sullivan and Sherry Dee (Cornett) Sullivan Lucas.
Tim is survived by his wife Kim Sullivan, children Clarissa Sullivan, Hunter Sullivan, Ashley (J.C.) Bowman, Autumn (Logan) Lake, Seth Gummere and Zachary Hyde, grandchildren Addison Bowman, Ellie Bowman, Bradyn Hull and Lilly Lake, dad Sonny Lucas, brothers Tom (Angie) Lucas and Shawn Lucas, sister Kristy (Ray) Smith, nieces and nephews Brogan Lucas, Matthew Lucas, Jessica Lucas, Mason Smith and Taylor Smith, close friends Jim Wells and Sashi Kumaran, as well as many other extended family and friends.
Services will be at River Community Church, Thursday, June 21, 2012, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Julie Lake officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tim Sullivan Trust Fund c/o Riddell National Bank, 1 E. National Ave. Brazil, Ind., 47834, to help with his children's education.
