Recently, the Clay County youngster told her mother, Lacey Dye, she wanted to have a Lemonade Stand set up at their home.
But there was a twist to the event.
Ashlyn didn't want to keep the profits for herself. Rather, she wanted to give them away.
On July 6-7, Ashlyn will do just that.
She will set up the Lemonade Stand at 421 S. Forest Ave., Brazil. Cost for a glass of lemonade will be 50 cents. All proceeds from the event will go to Clothe-A-Child.
Lacey added a donation jar would also be set up at the stand.
In addition to giving away the profits from the selling of the lemonade, Ashlyn will also conduct a toy drive at the same time, with all the profits going to Toys for Tots.
"I've always wanted to do a toy drive," Ashlyn said.
"She wanted to do (both)," Lacey said. "They were her ideas."
Her brother, Logan, 12, will also help with the drives.
Lacey said the event would take place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., both days.
