Trustees ask for box fans

Friday, June 29, 2012

The Brazil Township Trustee's Office, 37 W. Kruzan St., assists Brazil Township residents who require support and aid in times of emergency need.

Brazil Township Trustee T.J. Sneddon is asking for the help of local businesses and residents in a project, which will assist many residents.

"This is the second year we have offered the fan project," Sneddon stated. "And last year we distributed more than 60 much-needed fans to Brazil residents without air-conditioning."

The Trustee's Office plans to provide electric fans to those without air conditioning during times of extreme heat this summer.

The fans will be provided to those families with elderly residents, small children and those with breathing difficulties.

The Trustee's Office is requesting that area businesses and individuals donate as many new fans as possible for the project.

Fans may be dropped off at the office, or persons may call 446-9511 and the donations will be picked up.

Township residents in need of a fan may come to the office and place their names on a list.

Fans will be distributed as soon as possible as they are received at the office. Persons requesting fans will need a current ID. For further information, please call the Trustee's Office at 446-9511.
